More and more I’m finding myself short on time. For me, one of the first things to go are activities I actually like to do - cough cough shopping afternoons. When Trunk Club invited me to explore their new clubhouse in Boston, you bet I was excited to set aside a couple hours of me time to get some spring shopping done!
For those of you who are new to Trunk CLub , they are the personal shopping division of Nordstrom you always wished for but never knew they had. Boston is the newest of their city locations which include New York, Charleston, Chicago, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, and Dallas. When you sign up online, opt to visit them in your local clubhouse rather than having your trunk shipped to you via mail.
Upon your arrival, you are greeted with mimosas, lattes, & wine (yes, this is all real!) at their chic gentlemanly bar a la Town & Country. Glass in hand, you are seated at your personal dressing lounge, set up just for you with hand-selected clothes and accessories based on your style.
When you first register with Trunk Club online, you are assigned a personal stylist in your city (mine is Katelyn!) and you can either set up a phone call or fill out a questionnaire to outline your lifestyle.
Trunk Club is all about streamlining the shopping process, offering a short- cut to self-fashioning your image. They will have you asking yourself: Who do I wish I dressed like? How do I want to appear to others? What kinds of styles should I be wearing in my workplace? Send them a list of celebrities and they will match that look for you! Among my favorites were a selection of patriotic colors & patterns: a blue tweed jacket, slip-on loafers, sailor stripes, and bold red pieces.
Katelyn helped me create outfits by pairing high and low items: we matched tees under $50 from Topshop with designer shoes and jackets. On your Trunk Club profile, you can indicate your price preference so you’ll never worry about exceeding your budget.
Want a whole selection of stylish sun dresses for your upcoming vacation? A whole trunk of accessories filled with bags, gladiator sandals, and sunglasses? You got it! There is no fee because Trunk Club isn’t a subscription service. And the best part? The styling and whole experience is free - just pay for whichever clothes you decide to take home with you! If you have your trunk mailed to you, try it all on at home with free shipping to and fro. Trust me, you’ll want to try this one.
Thank you to Trunk Club for sponsoring this post!
